"Brood X during 2021 peeked my interest in these wonderful periodicals. Although that brood didn’t have much impact on my area I knew another one was coming.
Brood XIX was due in 2024, so I began the journey of developing a cicada pattern that was not only tailored to my water, but one that would help other fishermen across the country.
A cicada that matched the actual size and profile, plus looked great on the water. It has a small enough hook for bream and browns, but can handle larger fish like bass and carp.
Since then, it has become more than a tool in the fly box, it has been a weapon. Weapon X."
