"I developed the Starburst Intruder with versatility in mind. I wanted a fly that could adapt to different water types, fishing methods, seasons, and species.
It needed to swing confidently through runs, pick apart pockets under an indicator, and jig effectively through deeper holes.
I also wanted it to perform well for both salmon and steelhead, without being limited to one specific condition or approach.
By trimming back half of the rubber legs, the fly can be adjusted for summer fish or low-water situations.
The result is a true all-around pattern built for anglers who need one fly that can do a little bit of everything."
