"This mayfly imitation was created with the need to have a fly capable of deceiving the most suspicious fish.
I started with a classic model, and over time I introduced some modifications to improve its movement, until I arrived at the current version.
The CDL tail gives it stability on the water, the thin, segmented biot body reproduces the profile of the natural insect, and the biot wings maintain a clean silhouette.
However, its real strength is the hackle, it’s the combination of hare hair and CDC that creates continuous movement and vibrations when fishing.
This means that even when stationary, it looks like an insect in distress, unable to fly, an irresistible morsel for fish.
I use it in slow or medium-flowing waters, especially when trout reject imitations that are too rigid or perfect.
