As my fishing partners and I have gotten older we’ve started having trouble seeing the smaller sizes. To improve visibility of the fly on the water my grandson, who is my daughter Amy’s son, suggested adding a little white wing to the fly.
We started experimenting with the pattern last summer and had incredible results; we were hooking more fish because of the visibility, yet the fly still has the natural materials in the wing that we could see when we were much younger!
The team at UFM suggested some new colors that I hadn’t thought of. It’s amazing what youth can bring to the fly-fishing game!"
