"The story is pretty cool from a tyer’s standpoint. We were stocking materials in the shop, and I found a single pack of orange squirrel tail mixed in with some other materials.
I bet a couple of the guys that I could turn it into something cool. So I went through, grabbed the additional materials to color match the squirrel tail, and the next day the Wizard Finger was born.
When I first fished it, I fell in love with the movement and how much kick/flair it gives off on the pause.
After sharing the Wizard Finger’s name with a lot of people, they loved it as a magical wizard’s finger, but the real idea came from the gas station hot dogs that are left out on the rollers for 7+ hours."
