Job Title: Accounts Payable/Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist
Location: Louisville, CO
Reports To: Business Office Manager
Salary Range: $22.00 – $26.00 DOE

Umpqua Feather Merchants, the world’s foremost manufacturer and distributor of premium quality fishing flies, is seeking a highly organized and self-motivated individual to assist the company in exceeding its financial and strategic goals in servicing its 700-plus dealers worldwide. A detail-oriented nature and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, are a must. We are currently accepting applications for an AR/AP Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process vendor invoices and verify accuracy
- Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers).
- Maintain vendor records and ensure W-9s and tax documentation are up to date.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and within terms.
- Perform the appropriate month-end accounts payable processes including reconciliation of related G/L accounts
- Prepare and process royalty payments
- Assist with additional duties as assigned
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Daily payment processing and data entry
- Daily invoicing and posting of all customer shipments
- Daily monitor and communication of credit hold accounts
- Assisting customers with AR related inquiries
- Monitor accounts for overdue balances and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile AR ledger to ensure accuracy.
- Account set-up and communication to dealers and sales representatives
- Perform the appropriate month-end accounts receivable processes
- Assist with additional duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 - 4 years of AP/AR or relevant experience
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience using Microsoft Office 365 and being able to use the basic functions in Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Experience with an ERP accounting system desired, Microsoft Navision or Business Central experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
