Andrew Grillos began his career in the fly fishing world at a young age. First picking up a fly rod around age 10, started tying flies at 14, and was a commercial fly tier by 16. Andrew then chose his college based on the fishing surrounding Gunnison, Colorado and began working as a full time guide in 2001. Fast forward to the present and Andrew now brings nearly 14 years of guiding experience to the table, gained while working for some of the industries top outfitters in Colorado, Alaska, Washington, Argentina, Chile, and New Zealand. -and while fanatically tying flies all along the way!

"I tie flies are with three key concepts in mind. Would this fly make life easier on the angler somehow? Will the fly hold up to a full day of fishing? Does the fly fill a niche that needs filling? I often lay awake at night thinking of ways to create flies that fulfill all of these concepts and then some."

"In today's fly industry I find that more people than ever are taking themselves a little too seriously and are a little too social media obsessed. Personally, I try to stay focused on what initially drew me to the sport. Every day I get on the water is a day I'm outside I'm having fun and learning something new!"
