Fishing has always been a big part of my life. I was born into a Midwestern family of competitive bass fishermen and grew up in the back of a boat. Fly fishing was introduced into my life when my academic pursuits took me to Utah in 2012.

I had little interest in fly tying, but my girlfriend (now wife) gifted me a fly-tying vise on my birthday in 2015. I quickly took to tying and really enjoy the reward of catching fish on my own flies. Fly tying is my creative outlet and I love to experiment with new materials and techniques.
