Growing up in southeastern Pennsylvania, I had the privilege of exploring freestone and limestone creeks beginning at a young age, where I pursued native brook trout as well as brown trout. Simultaneously, I honed my skills on warm waters, seeking out muskies and bass from the St. Lawrence River in northern New York to the Susquehanna River throughout Pennsylvania, fishing was always at the forefront.
Family vacations out west in Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado added another dimension to my fishing education, alongside weekends dedicated to Pennsylvania and the east coast’s diverse fishing opportunities. These experiences ignited a deep-seated passion for fishing early in my life.
At the age of 10, my journey into fly tying began when my parents gifted me my first tying kit, complete with tools passed down from my late grandfather. This marked the start of my obsession with the world of fly tying.
