Green or Brown, these mayflies offer a sizeable meal to trout in the late spring and summer. Drakes often make a good searching pattern when prospecting with dry flies, as many large trout can’t resist this opportunistic meal. Be sure to carry a selection of nymphs, dries and spinners, because once the trout key in on these hatches it’s tough to convince them to eat anything else.
