The late Captain Darrell Key, my best friend and fishing partner for over 40 years, was the one who took my original marabou tarpon toad and added the large foam eyes. Darrel guided in the Keys, Homosassa and the panhandle with that fly for many years.
We were using it for skinny water redfish, snook, sea trout and of course tarpon.
I am confident it will work on many other species, including stripers and bass, as does the original toad. Toad’s Rule!
