"The development of this fly comes out of my love to fish dryline muddlers in pursuit of steelhead in the early season for summer steelhead.
Normal thought was to put away the muddlers and switch to big profile bugs when temps drop and sink tips are the name of the game.
This fly was the blend of both the big profile swing bugs and the water displacement of muddlers on a dryline.
The classic muddler head pushes a lot of water, and the arctic fox and flash create the bug's flow incorporated with the lady amherst that creates additional contrast. I have had some of my most savage grabs fishing this fly on a T10 tip when water temps were in the low 40s and upper 30s."
