Bob Reece
Signature Tyer
I’m a full time Jr. High Science teacher and coach in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences. I run a fly fishing club for 7th and 8th grade students at my school. In addition to this, I work with Platte Rivers Veterans Fly Fishing. During my summers I run my own guide operation on the private waters of Horse Creek Ranch in Southeast Wyoming. I am a Field Editor for Fly Fusion Magazine and write multiple monthly posts for Gink & Gasoline. I also serve as an ambassador for Renzetti fly tying vises. My loving mom, also a teacher, emphasized and nurtured my creativity from a young age. I was also lucky enough to have an amazing dad who taught me how to tie flies and cast a rod at the age of twelve. My science background and love of God's creation, fuels my desire to construct highly productive fly patterns. All of these factors combined, have led to where I am now as a Signature Fly Designer for Umpqua Feather Merchants.
